Junkin Safety has manufactured basket stretchers in Louisville, Kentucky for more than a century, and the JSA-300 series is still built the way the original Stokes basket was meant to be: a welded 17-gauge carbon steel frame, a wire-mesh lining, and a powder-coat finish that stands up to daily use by fire departments, EMS crews, and technical rescue teams. Standard models measure 82 inches long by 24 inches wide, weigh about 33 pounds, and are rated for a 1,500-pound load. Variants cover the situations rescuers actually face: the JSA-300 with a leg divider and footplates, the JSA-300W without a divider for extra basket space, plastisol-coated JSA-300PC models for corrosive or marine environments, and the JSA-300-CS confined-space basket at just over 18 inches wide for shafts, tanks, and tight industrial spaces.
For water rescue and situations where a plastic shell is preferred, the JSA-200 combines a yellow high-density polyethylene shell with a stainless steel outer rail and a 1,200-pound rating. Break-apart versions of both platforms (JSA-200B and JSA-300B) separate into two halves with positive-locking pins, so a team can pack the stretcher into remote terrain and reassemble it at the patient.
Our MIL series basket stretchers are engineered to U.S. military basket stretcher specifications, with 84.25-inch stainless steel frames rated to 2,500 pounds, in standard, rectangular, plastisol-coated, and break-apart configurations. Every basket stretcher we sell pairs with our lifting bridles, flotation collars, patient restraint straps, and wall-mount brackets, and most models ship via Freight, UPS or FedEx.
