Rapid strap attachment and quick-release for JSA-365 and compatible boards.
A backboard is only useful if it is light enough to bring to the patient and strong enough to move them safely, and Junkin builds ours around both requirements. The JSA-365 rigid plastic backboard is a one-piece polyethylene spine board, 73 inches long and 16 inches wide, weighing about 15 pounds with a 400-pound rating. Twelve large hand holes give rescuers a secure grip from any angle, and the JSA-365-S adds integrated speed clips for fast strapping. Because the board is a single molded piece, it is easy to clean and is not affected by water, which matters for EMS, water rescue, and industrial sites.
When storage space is the constraint, the JSA-366 folding plastic backboard hinges in two pieces to store in a locker or vehicle compartment, and the JSA-362-A folding aluminum backboard folds from 70 inches to 35. For work in shafts, tanks, and other confined spaces, the JSA-360-CS wooden backboard is two inches narrower than a standard board at 14 inches wide.
Junkin also makes the strapping and head immobilization that turn a board into a complete spinal immobilization system: the JSA-360M color-coded multi-strap system, the JSA-360-SS stainless steel speed-clip strap set, and the JSA-363-BF head and neck immobilizer, all designed to pair with every Junkin backboard. Backboards and accessories ship via Freight, UPS or FedEx and are manufactured in Louisville, Kentucky.
